How It All Began...

Possibly you are wondering how one gets started in an endeavor such as this. This is how it happened for me. Photography, once merely a hobby, evolved into a dream of entrepreneurship and a vision to help others capture their special moments in a way that would be timeless.

I've always had a passion to photograph those memories and events in a way that seizes the moment. However, it was not until my two children were well on their way to adulthood that my dream was propelled into a business. With the help of a few photography classes and hand tinting lessons from a most generous lady, I have developed my own style of creating portraiture that is as individual as each family itself. Although I find joy in all of my work, my favorite is black and white hand-coloured photographs.

My philosophy is to preserve images that appeal to the heart rather than logic or tradition. My photographs are intentionally designed to evoke emotion. Each side of an individual's personality is worthy of permanent expression on film. My desire is not to create a perfectly posed photo. Instead I choose to portray each client being who she is in her everday life. I hope to capture whatever range of emotion is shared with me.
